Banking: Whether good or bad, a lot of the time most of us aren’t happy. Since we have a love/hate relationship with our bank (especially when it comes to customer service), we tend to express our emotions on social media.
So which bank is most loved? A report from 2016 reveals the positive and negative feedback on social media:
FNB: The most complained about bank, makes up 40% of negative sentiment online.
Standard Bank: Follows closely behind FNB with 39% of complaints.
Absa: Follows in the footsteps of FNB and Standard Bank with 34% grievances.
Capitec: Drops down to 34% negative social media feedback.
Nedbank: Finally comes in with only 20% of social media complaints.
In terms of positive feedback?
Capitec: The third biggest bank in South Africa took the lead with just under 40%.
Absa: Nearly half of what Capitec brought in with 24%.
Standard Bank: Scraped in at 8.5%.
It has been said that banks are now looking to the future to solve the problems that consumers are having, and encourage customers to have faith in the future of banking as they can expect a huge change.
